Positioning
A Doctor of Management Sciences and health engineer by training, I have for more than thirty years pursued action research at the intersection of pharmaceutical safety, clinical information systems, risk governance in high-reliability organisations (HRO) and, more recently, the cognitive dynamics linked to artificial intelligence. This dual affiliation, academic (lecturer-researcher, author) and professional (consultant, trainer, company director), underpins a practitioner-academic positioning in the sense of the AACSB framework.
My current work focuses on cognitive governmentality, emotions as the architectures of opinion democracy, and the symbolic neo-institutions of the 21st century. I pass it on through teaching in management schools, executive education, keynotes, boot camps, crisis simulations and a mentoring practice with executives, elected officials and young professionals.
Motto: “Not simply to understand change, but to structure it.”
